What exactly is the Second Wind Internet
Mailing List?
The Second Wind Internet Mailing List is a list with over 300
subscribers who are waiting on a lung transplant, have had a lung transplant, or are the
caregiver for a lung transplant candidate or recipient. As a subscriber, you can ask
any question that you might have and receive meaningful answers from someone who has been
in your shoes. Even if you are too timid to actually post a question to the group,
you can learn many helpful things by just reading the various postings. Normally,
there are about 40-50 posting per day and you can request the list in a digest form, where
you receive all of the postings from the previous day in one large message rather than
receiving them each individually. There is also an on-line archive of all postings
to the list that can be searched for specific information. This list also serves as
a support system since almost everyone on the list is related due to their lung disease.

No! While we would certainly hope that you would want to
become a member of our organization, you can subscribe directly to the internet mailing
list without being a member of Second Wind.

We are a support organization for those considering or waiting for a lung transplant, lung transplant recipients, their family members and caregivers. Second Wind does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, gender or sexual preference. Respect of cultural, political and other differences is expected.
